Scope HQ Community Center

On June 4th 2023 we celebrated our 2nd full year at scope HQ since opening our doors in 2021.

We are excited to announce some new changes to the Scope HQ Space and our summer offerings.

When we opened Scope HQ our goal was not only to create a place that served as a brick and mortar store for Scope Apparel and other local brands and artists but also to welcome the community into the space through hosting events and providing innovative programming.

In the time since we have been overwhelmed by the community support we have received and also by the tremendous need for accessible community run spaces that we are helping to meet.

In that time our Community Organization Voices of Liberation has obtained our 501(c)3 Non-Profit Federal Tax Exempt Status and utilized the space to provide programming like our Heal the Hood programs for adults and youth including the first ever Gs to Gents, our ongoing Community Arts and Education programs, our weekly Feed the Hood distribution and so much more. With our new status and structure we are able to open up the space to the community in even greater ways as Scope HQ shifts its focus from being a retail driven space to acknowledging the primary purpose we have served since day one, a community run space for the people.

We will be offering new programming along with this shift including our Heal the Hood Youth Summer Sessions Every Tuesday – Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, pop-up and event space for local brands and curators, local arts education and programming for all ages including blackbook drawing sessions, poetry open mic nights, arts in the park activities in the public lot next door, community meeting space, local artist and author talks and so much more.

You will also still be able to find exclusive, in store only Scope Apparel Products and other local brands at Scope HQ, however we encourage you to visit scopeapparel.com to shop our past collections and latest drops.

Please visit voicesofliberation.org to learn about our community programming and services and to donate or volunteer.

You will still see the same faces and feel the same love but we are intentionally welcoming the community into this space and asking for your help in growing it as a community hub and local institution for people led progress towards a world of peace and abundance. We invite you to come by, share ideas, get in touch, donate some resources or some time, take in some local art and meet your neighbors. We are excited to see you!
